Long Lost Love

They were high school sweet hearts. Everyone knew they would be together forever. Their names were Julia and Jake. Jake was a very strong man, and always knew when he was old enough he was going to join the war. Julia loved how determined he was. The man of her dreams fighting for her safety. She couldn’t ask for much more. When the day came that he was going to war, Julia broke down.
A normal person would always be sad for their loved one leaving for the war. Overall it is a happy event, because they are protecting our country. The reason why it’s sad is, because everyone has the chance of losing their loved one. That was what scared Julia the most. One last hug and kiss goodbye, and he was gone like the wind.
Julia and Jake wrote for a couple months. After the six month, he stopped writing back. Julia was starting to panic. All these thoughts were running through her mind. Two days later, army men showed up at her front door. They told Julia that her husband was in a bombing, and they could not find his body anywhere. Julia broke down crying. She lost her beloved husband, and thought she would never see him again.
One night she heard the front door open. She wondered who it could be. Julia didn’t have any brothers or sisters, and all she could think was it was a burglar. As she was walking down the stairs, she recognized the face of the person. It was a man. He turned around and smiled.
“I’m home.”
Julia put a huge smile on her face. She sprinted down the stairs. Gave the man a hug.
“But… but I thought you were dead.”
Jake explained the whole story to her. Nothing mattered to her, except that she had her loved one back in her life. The love will always last between the two.
